It’s no secret that people love their dogs—and the world is beginning to cater to that. The latest example is New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, which will soon be adding pools, massages, and spa treatments just for dogs!
Lap Up The Luxury
The New York Post reports that JFK’s brand new $48 million Ark terminal will be used exclusively for shipping animals and include many of the amenities of a five-star hotel. Dogs will have free range in a 20,000-square-foot “resort” that will include bone-shaped polls, massage therapy, and even “pawdicures.” Even cats will have access to a specially made “jungle” featuring bespoke climbing trees. Additionally, dogs have access to a pet hotel (complete with full-sized beds and flat-screen TVs!) Other animals that will have special places at the Ark include horses and cows. The Ark’s designer, Cliff Bollmann says of his project, “It will be a place for people who love their pets like they love their kids. Maybe more.”
When Dogs Fly
Since we’re getting all excited about specialized pet airport areas, we figured we’d find some Instagram photos of dogs on airplanes. Who said dogs can’t fly?
